Sugar Land Regional Airport will be undertaking the following grant-funded projects in the future. KSA Engineers has been selected, in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, to provide civil engineering services on these projects over the next five years.
Drainage Master Plan Update
The current Drainage Master Plan was performed in concert with the current Airport Layout Plan. As new development projects are identified, the master plan requires updating.
Pavement Evaluation
Existing pavement such as runway, taxiways and aprons will be evaluated for recommended rehabilitation and maintenance.
Runway Lighting Improvements
Plans are to replace the existing High Intensity runway lighting (HIRL) with new HIRL on Runway 17-35. In addition, a new Medium Intensity Approach lighting System (MALSR) will be installed.
Relocate Existing Parallel Taxiway
The existing parallel taxiway will be relocated to provide clearances required by current FAA standards.
